These terms govern your use of the BYN app. By creating an account you agree to them. Contact: bynapp.founder@gmail.com.
The service
BYN lets you discover nightlife venues, check in to venues, share your plans with friends, and report queue times and vibes. The service is provided as-is; venue information and crowd data are community-supplied and may be inaccurate.
Your account
- You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure.
- You are responsible for activity on your account.
- You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete Account.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- harass, bully, threaten, or impersonate other users;
- post offensive, unlawful, or misleading content (including profile names, pictures, or deliberately false venue reports);
- use the app to spam or advertise;
- attempt to access other users' data or disrupt the service.
Reports and moderation
You can report any user from their profile and block users at any time. We review reports within 24 hours and may remove content, suspend, or permanently ban accounts that violate these terms.
Content
You retain rights to the content you submit (profile pictures, reports, check-ins) and grant us a licence to store and display it within the app as needed to provide the service.
Disclaimer and liability
Drink responsibly and follow local laws and venue rules. BYN does not operate any venue and is not responsible for events at venues. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the app.
Changes and termination
We may update these terms or discontinue the service; material changes will be announced in the app. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Norway.
